Many Bollywood films are now set, at least partly, in the UK, and with Bollywood superstars like Shah Rukh Khan and Karisma Kapoor publicly giving their approval to UK locations this is unlikely to change. So keen are Bollywood fans to see the locations of their favorite films, that the British Tourist Authority has produced thousands of copies of the "Bollywood Movie Map", which points out where the filming took place. As the number Indian films being produced in the UK each year is already in double figures, there may be a need for a new edition soon! Indian directors are also doing pretty well in Hollywood. The much acclaimed “Elizabeth in Hollywood” was directed by Shekhar Kapur, and Manoj Shyamalan, who directed the box office hit “The Sixth Sense”, was also born in India. All in all the Bollywood boom seems to be here for good. &
