Web Browser

This CD-Rom works with a variety of web browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Opera, Safari, Chrome and mobile browsers. You do not need to be connected to the Internet to use this CD-Rom, except if you need to download Adobe products (see below) or if you want to follow the external links to http://www.britishcouncil.org/learnenglish or http://www.teachingenglish.org.uk.

PDF Reader

All of the stories on this CD can also be downloaded to print in pdf format. You will need to have a pdf reader installed on you computer to be able to open these documents. If you do not have this software, it can be downloaded from the Adobe website for free.

Flash

This CD-Rom requires the latest version of Adobe Flash Player. If you don't have flash installed, you can download it from the Adobe website for free.

When opening some of the activities on this CD-Rom, you may receive a POP-UP alert like the one below.

If you are connected to the Internet, please click on Settings...
This will take you to an Adobe Flash help page, and you will be presented with an option to "Always allow" (green check mark). Please select this option and then close that browser.

If you are not connected to the Internet, just click OK
